REVIVING THE RICH HISTORY OF POMPILIOS
Menu and Sauce Label Redesign

A long time client of The Think Shop, Pompilios restaurant set the bar for authentic family Italian cuisine around the region. The proprietors of the 1933 Northern Kentucky landmark restaurant challenged us to raise this bar with a menu and retail packaging re-design to convey the true spirit of the restaurant.

The menu design was to reflect the history of the restaurant and the many generations of family that created it, while conveying the look and feeling of old Italy. The idea of a family gathering for a meal, a tradition lost by many today, was to shine entirely through the patron’s viewing experience. The warm but unique color palette is reminiscent of grandma’s kitchen while the black and white photos reflect the importance of family.

Known not only for traditional Italian fare and sauces, Pompilios has been the scene of large scale motion picture productions, which in past years has exposed the restaurant to younger generations. While an important aspect of the restaurant, our team chose to instead concentrate on the traditional family and Italian style. This classical theme has been augmented with a touch of funky flair, helping the design to appeal to a wider demographic range.

RESTORING DRY EFFECT
Brand Redesign – Collateral – Advertising – Web

Just a few years old and already very successful, Dry Effect faced the same problem as many small or startup business: they needed things fast, and they needed to make money. For this reason they started with a very generic logo and materials kit to being generating business and, as a result, produced a very disconnected, understated representation of the business professionals that they were, and the services they provided.

Our challenge was to understand the business, and create a brand that defined what they do, and how they do it. Part of this challenge was to take existing, usable material and rebrand everything.

We created a new logo, graphic system, photo library and a look and feel which separates them from the competition. Dry Effect is not a typical restoration company. They are top level customer service and comfort creators. They needed a brand that was soft and inviting, suggesting to consumers that they were the right choice to help ease the burden and pain of a disaster situation. We continue to support Dry Effect in advertising, SEO, SEM and Social content on a regular basis.

Nexigen was founded in 2003 with the goal of providing growing organizations one company for all their technology needs while, simultaneously, reducing the technological burden often placed on them. Since that time, they have developed to become a top tier IT company in Greater Cincinnati.

Nexigen’s owners saw a need to update their brand to match their current status, capabilities, mission, vision, and values. They challenged us with this task: Keep them relevant in the marketplace, but help them stand out among the competition.

We did so by introducing an updated logo, brand new graphics system and new photography style library. These updates have been made, not only to the corporate brand, but on collateral and support/ sales material as well; future updates will be made to web and across all sharepoints.

Home is a place where folks are most comfortable; a place that is safe, secure and relaxing; a place where friends and family unite. Our campaign touches on these emotions, exposing Bella Luna’s connection with family and friends through every collateral piece we created, including environmental and print advertisements, a brand new user-focused website, two new craft beer identities named after Bella Luna’s owners’ family members, and branding the bar inside Bella Luna. The “Welcome Home” campaign also includes many new in-store pieces such as menus, posters, custom tap handles and handouts.

What began as a simple brand refresh for Jolly Plumbing, a brand nearly four decades old, has turned into a successful partnership in all aspects of marketing and advertising. After refreshing their iconic “Jack” logo, our team went on to create bold environmental advertisements, vehicle graphics, wraps and bus boards, creating a cohesive advertising campaign to spread awareness of their brand. The Think Shop designed a new website for the company and created collateral print items for Jolly Plumbing. We continue to manage and design digital and print advertisements for the company.
